Test flight of the Apellix Non Destructive Testing Aerial Robotic Platform measuring the wall thickness (UT) of an elevated water storage tank in December 2017. Once in position (approximately 3 meters from the target) the software is engaged and the aircraft flies in, touches the target, collects a thickness reading, and then flies back to where it started. While this occurs the data is displayed in real time to the user interface allowing the engineer to see the wall thickness UT measurements and determine if additional readings are required.
Apellix Inspection Technologies helps the Maritime, Energy (Oil & Gas, Windmills, etc.) and Infrastructure sectors make better asset reliability and quality decisions through advanced non destructive testing solutions at height including ultrasonic testing, eddy current, remote visual inspection, etc. and enabling software.
