We start using a cat stroller to walk out kittens once they are about 4 weeks old. This is a great way to help the kittens to be used to the sounds and sights of outside. This is the Kitty Walk stroller and is is a nice big stroller for multiple cats.
Walking cats outside is also a get way to help a child on the Autism Spectrum. It can help with speech and communication skills because people will approach you and ask questions and your child will be excited to talk about his or her kitten.
Having something to talk about is a great way to work on social skills and help a child learn how to communicate with people effectively. When a child is excited about their animal it really makes them want to talk about their cat. It is amazing how animals help children and I hope to write a book someday on how it animals have helped our family.
We also just roll this stroller into our Town and Country Minivan to take the cats to the vet or pet store. Then they start to get used to car rides. Car rides are important if you want to train your cat to be a service animal.
This is a big stroller and can fit multiple cats and /or cat and litterbox. We also have a smaller cat stroller that folds up like a baby stroller.
