I know that people who buy the cheaper video cameras (that don't have mic input jacks) don't really care about plugging in a wireless mic (the Sennheiser e100 set shown here costs over $600, more than many camcorders) but if the need ever arises, this is how you do it. I duct-taped my Koss Portapro headphones into place right over the camera (a Panasonic HS900) mic and the results were not too bad. You could still hear ambient noises (in this case rustling of leaves in nearby trees) but acceptable, given how clear the sound from the wireless mic was. Note: I had to turn up the AF Out sound output on the receiver all the way up to +12 so the headphones were loud enough. This did not add any extra hiss to the recording, however, since I also did a test inside the (quiet) house.
