This video illustrates how easy to set up a home security and break in deterrent system using a Passive Infrared Motion detector from Skylink called House Alert, Quirky.com Spotter, Quirky.com Pivot Power Genius, and a Light.
When the Passive Infrared Motion detector detects movement in front of it's sensor, it will trigger a light off action of Spotter which in turn will send a push notification to your smart device as well as turn on the power outlet of Pivot Power Genius thus turning on a light. Now when someone passes the motion detector outside the house, you will get a notification on your phone and a specified lamp will come on inside the house to give the impression that someone is home.
