Couple converts their 2007 Dodge Sprinter Van into a comfortable camper van for long domestic trips with a simple, spacious and modular design that they're able to adjust as their travel needs change.
Make/Model: 2007 Dodge Sprinter Passenger Van - 144" Wheel Base
Shelving/Counters: 3/4" Ply (Kreg Jig is your best friend)
Flooring: we used an industrial matting used at auto trade shows, our buddy happened to have an extra roll in his garage. Holds up really nice, easy to sweep off, easy to cut out the exact dimensions
Power: 240 W Solar Panel on roof (normally used for homes, little big), charge controller was needed to feed power into our Goal Zero Yeti 400. Perfect for powering our laptops (work on the road), lights, camera gear, phones, etc.
Refrigeration: 50QT Pelican Elite Cooler is our "fridge" we keep in the back (don't access as much), 20QT Pelican Elite Cooler is our "snack/beverage cooler" that we keep up front and access often. (pelicancasesforless.com)
Cooking: we enjoy cooking outside with our 2 stove burner, single burner and dutch oven. Jetboil is also key. We also got an outdoor camp kitchen that breaks down pretty small, which is great for dispersed camping, but we haven't used it that often.
Wallpaper: Maps of the actual places we are traveling to: super helpful when you don't have wifi!
