Associated with royalty and majesty, violet is a regal tone. In Chinese painting, it represents harmony of the universe between Yin and Yang (which are affiliated with the colors red and blue, respectively). The color is also identified with extravagance, individualism and ambiguity.
Taking those meanings into account, the VIOLET movement features only the piano – never straying from the first chord introduced in the piece. Listen to the amorphic nature, yet oddly exciting feel of the movement.
