Yor'sahj the Unsleeping soloed by Ysen, in Dragon Soul 10
08.12.12, patch 5.1.0, EU - Conseil des Ombres
This fight is the first real solo challenge you can have in MoP as a warlock. It's hard. Really. With high gear requirement. With 493ilvl I was only 15-20s from the enrage. The 4P T14 is very helpful as Dark Soul will be up for every globule wave.
First of all, the boss hits very hard, and he stacks a dot on your pet. I chose not to heal my pet after 4-5 debuffs, just letting him die, using the Demonic Gateway to clean my aggro and summoning a new pet. Hardcasting the summon is preferable, as you may need to instant SB-summon your pet if things go wrong later.
Here's my globule priority order: I kill Black everytime because I don't want to deal with all the adds, at all. Purple is totally harmless. Blue is slightly annoying but the mana void can be used to regain shards later on. Green does very low dmg (you will resist a lot of them). Red is the worst for me, it deals a lot of dmg especially when you need to get away from the boss for a while when you summon your pet. Yellow deals lot of dmg too, but still less than red (and you absorb the shadow dmg through twilight ward). So we have:
Purple, Black, Red : Kill Black
Purple, Yellow, Blue : Kill Yellow
Green, Black, Red : Kill Black
Green, Yellow, Red : Kill Red
Yellow, Black, and Blue : Kill Black
Purple, Green, and Blue : Kill Nothing and stay on the boss.
Demonic Gateway is awesome, Kil'jaeden's Cunning is a must have. And you'll need luck. Because the boss can and will crit your pet for a lot of damage sometimes. (Also, bad void timing at 6:18 :p)
Overall the fight is really fun, one of the best I've soloed.
493 ilvl, Affliction spec, Soul Leech, Mortal Coil, Dark Bargain, Grimoire of Supremacy, Kil'jaeden's Cunning. Glyphs are Soulshards, Siphon Life, Soul Swap
