Western Electric 293A: A working antique telephone on a magicJack Plus+ line

So I'm somewhat a electronic geek. I hooked up an old time telephone to a dedicated magicJack Plus+ VOIP device (I have 3 of them). Now at first I didn't think it would work because the phone dates back to at least 1907 though the Condenser says 1908 and the transmitter (Microphone to you young bucks) reads 1913. But to my amazement it does, and very well at that. Now the MJ can't ring the ringer as it draws too much current so I'm using it as a out going phone. So how do I dial? Ironically I use a iPhone to generate the DTMF via the black cable you see in there. Hooked into the phone I can dial anywhere. When I have placed my call I promptly unhook it. So now you know you can use an antique phone. Still working on the ringer.
