Soaps are usually referred to as toilet soaps. So we usually drop the terminology of toilet soaps and take them as soaps. So how do we define soaps. We define them on the basis of their TFM. Usually Grade 1 soaps will have TFM of 76% or more but never less than 60% and the bathing bars are the ones which had less TFM less than 40 to 50% but they will have lot of additives like creams, talc’s and all that . Toilet soaps have soaps with a very good cleansing properties but they can be drying of the skin. So usually people with dry skin should go ahead with the bathing bars, where the moisture content is more and they tend to form a protective film after taking a bath, retaining the moisture of the skin.
