Windless kites are ultralight kites designed to be flown indoors or outdoors when there is very little wind. The kites fly using the movement of the flyer to generate the force needed to keep the kite aloft. Indoor kite festivals and competitions are held regularly and this footage is from the indoor kite flying competition at the Washington State International Kite Festival in Long Beach, WA.. It was an entertaining and interesting display and I recommend checking out an indoor kite flying event if you have the opportunity.
