Here is another variation of the "Shatter" animation. I increased the friction setting on the glass shards. The engineers at Modo suggest using the "hull" setting on simulations like this one. All I had to do was change the settings and re-calculate the simulation. It is relatively easy to make changes on animations like this. It's addictive.

I love slow motion films shot with HD high-speed cinema cameras.
Here is my attempt at something similar.
I used Modo 801 3D Software (Beta) to create this 3D film animation. The new Mesh Shatter tool was used to break the glass. I was able to control the animated breaks using the Glue settings. Combined with rigid body dynamics, motion blur and Depth of Field, I was able to create a photorealistic 3D animation in slow motion.
