WISE 1828+2650 is located in the small constellation Lyra and was discovered by NASA's Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (WISE). WISE is a infrared-wavelength astronomical space telescope which was launched on December 14, 2009 and decommissioned on February 17, 2011. Equipped with a 40 cm (16 in) diameter infrared telescope, which performed an all-sky astronomical survey with images in 3, 5, 12, and 22 μm wavelength range bands, for over 10 months.
