Letting yourself go to a fairytale land where there once was a queen who so much wanted a baby and here she is now sitting in the little nursery room of the grand castle she shares with her beloved husband the king who is asleep now because it is in the middle of the night and everyone is asleep now and maybe the queen should be too but sometimes..on some nights..especially when the moon is full..she feels it is best to just sit up and spend some quiet time with herself and see what happens when the hole world is asleep...sleeping deeply and soundly unaware of the magic and miracles that take place during the quiet wishing hours in the stillness in the night...She remembered a night not so long ago when she had floated through the night air with the fairies and seen some wonderful things and she wondered if anything that magical could happen again...That night not so long ago she had been wishing for a baby to call her own and now as she sits in this rocking chair in front of this window watching the fat moonbeams drift lazily across the back garden as the unusually large moon plays hide and seek behind the deep purple clouds...as she sits here she is no longer singing her soft lullabies to an empty cradle..she is holding her rounded belly gently in her hands singing softly to the new life moving within her knowing this will be someday very soon the most beautiful and perfect baby girl any one could ever wish for...and she felt perfectly happy and content..patiently waiting for the day to arrive very soon...singing softly and watching the play of the moonbeams..patches of diffuse light on the hedges and the flowers and now on the little wisps of mist curling their way amongst the neatly tended plants...rocking gently back and forth she was becoming more and more relaxed..so relaxed she didn't even notice the dreamy feeling coming over her..her mind wondering off to no where..and as she sang the lullabies she knew by heart having heard them herself so many times when she was little herself..knew them so well she didn't have to think about the words or the tune..as if someone else were singing them and gradually from some far away place she noticed another voice singing the tune with her..a little girl's voice..high and clear..and it seemed like that was okay..perfectly normal and fine...and everything seemed aright as she heard the voice singing right beside her and felt a small warm hand rest upon her stomach..as she rocked back and forth..then a little girl of about eight or nine dressed in a white nightgown very much like the one the queen always wore when she went to bed..or sat up alone and quiet waiting for magic things to happen..this little girl took both of this lovely ladies hands in hers and gently pulled bringing the queen to her feet where she looked down upon the dark hair, blue eyes, and very pale skin..of the little girl she had seen before in the garden being a fairy when the rest of the world was asleep...The little girl took a few steps backwards leading the queen into the grand hallway of the bed chambers .and then let go and ran on bare feet..padding almost inaudibly along the thick carpet...she ran down the long hallway and disappeared into the darkness and all was empty and silent in the hall..The queen snapped out of her dreamy trance like state and felt fully awake as she walked along the ever darkening hallway looking for her little friend..she had seen this child play at the palace often and realised she had never heard the child speak..laugh, giggle, or even squeal sometimes..but she had never heard her speak and for the life of her she could not recall the child's name..as she passed closed door after closed door and the hallway dissolved into complete darkness she considered going back the the nursery to fetch a lit candle but she carried on..her curiosity getting the better of her...soon she could see nothing at all and she stretched her hands out in front of her feeling for a wall even though she knew this hallway goes on for quite some time before it turns off to the left...the darkness was intense and black and had a nothingness feel to it like it would go on forever....
