The Full Story: http://bit.ly/burpeesfor100days
My first 100 Day Gong. A gong is a Chinese word that means practice with intention. A gong is different than a goal. A gong focuses on the process, the goal focuses on the outcome. You decide on a practice that you are going to do consistently while aiming towards an outcome. This puts all your mental energy on the practice rather than judging yourself on a distant outcome.
For this gong, I wanted to see how effective burpees are to lose weight, get ripped and if you can gain strength. For 100 days, I did burpees every other day. One day on, one day off for recovery. Each workout was 10 sets of burpees. The first day I was barely able to do 10 sets of 10 for a total of 100 burpees. By the end of 100 days, I was able to do 10 sets of 20, for a total of 200. I varied the burpees to avoid plateauing.
I wrote a more detailed blog about the journey. You can check it out at: http://bit.ly/burpeesfor100days
