How good is the Machete?
I made this video to showcase the Machete. These were some highlights from me using the machete over a few days. I'm still not quite sure how effective it really is. For 2 loadout points and 400 in game parts, you get 3 hits with the machete. It takes 3 hits to down, so you are effectively paying 400 parts for 1 down. Other purchasables like the Military Sniper can give you as many as 4 downs + 4 executions for the same amount of parts, at the cost of one more loadout point.
The Machete does have some massive upsides though. It only costs 2 loadout points, which is pretty cheap. It can be upgraded by using parts you gather from supply boxes to gain extra hits. It combos very well with brawler 2, netting you back health for each hit you land and gives you an extra durability when you upgrade it. The Machete is also quite fast and can disorient enemies very easily when you rush at them with it. The combo hits are faster then any other melee weapon, so you will stun lock anyone you get in a fight with, giving you a massive advantage in any hand to hand combat situation.
Overall, I don't think it's the best purchasable, but is quite fun to use and can actually be decent if you use brawler 2.
