The Turnigy Monster Beatle is now obsolete, I would recommend the YiKong RC Buggy TROO - E18XB BL(http://tidd.ly/7a6bc29b) instead. It comes almost ready-to-run, with NiMH battery, charger, remote. You'll need to supply 4 x AA batteries, like these: http://tidd.ly/cf132dcf

This "World's Fastest" claim is limited to this model, and this model only, it does not include anything else!

You must measure a reference distance on the ground, and have video showing the vehicle passing this distance, from this the speed can be calculated, and it can be determined if you have the faster beatle or not!
