Surya Namaskara or Sun Salutation comprises of twelve asanas or postures and is extremely beneficial to the human body. It is practiced at a slow pace. Along with losing weight it, also helps in strengthening the spine. Surya namaskara can be practiced at any time of the day. Repeating a few sets in the morning keeps you active throughout the day or, If you have had a really stressful day at work, a few rounds of this will calm you down and refreshes you.
