The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III in partnership with a Portuguese, Dr. Paula Gomes, has launched a foundation, the Paula Gomes Cultural Foundation, for the preservation of Yoruba culture. The launch of the foundation at the Alaafin's palace was attended by dignitaries, such as the Ambassador and High Commissioners from Cuba, Trinidad and Tobago and Australia.
