Lewisville, TX - With Lewisville Lake above 529 feet - 7 feet into flood pool, the flood gates were open, releasing 5,400+ cubic feet per second into the Elm Fork of the Trinity River. (USGS reported stream flow of 6,000 CFS). The river is about 20 feet higher than normal just downstream at S.H. 121 Business, and sections of Lewisville Lake Environmental Learning Area's hiking trails are closed or inaccessible due to flooding.
