Two Bangalore-based school students have used their summer holidays to not only learn the nuances of building apps, being created one that helps users make pledges around social causes. Here are the very young software programmers 12-year-old Prateek Mahesh and 13-year-old Priyal Jain. They have collaborated together on a very interesting app called vPLEDGE for a better tomorrow.
What is this app all about?
So vPLEDGE has a list of pledges, few examples of them are like start composting, Segregate waste, use public transport for a month, so and so what happens is if you keep up to the pledges you get points and you share it on Facebook, so fact you're inspiring your friends to do the same and you can make me world a better place.
Launched by ‘Growth story’ promoted ‘ACADGILD’ less than a week ago the app has already been downloaded about 250 times and the 12-year-old creators who spent two to three months working on it see the end process was not without setbacks.
ACADGILD does not see any monetization opportunities on vPLEDGE but the company says it will support Priyal and Prateek on future app development initiatives.
